Brunning & Price – the new owners of the controversial Jacksons Wharf site in Castlefield Basin – have organised a site visit this Sunday to talk to local residents about their plans to return the building to use as a pub / restaurant and get your views before submitting a planning application.
If you live in Castlefield please come down and meet us outside Jacksons Wharf at 2pm this Sunday to find out more and put your views to the developers.

I’d like to thank all the city centre residents who braved the winter weather on Sunday evening to come along to Richmond Tea Rooms for our city centre residents Christmas social and fundraising event.
The turnout was fantastic, with residents from all over the city centre coming together to raise £200 for the Wood Street Mission’s Christmas Project – helping struggling families across Manchester this Christmas.
Particular thanks go to Lee Burkitt and Revolution Property Management for sponsoring the yummy food at the event, Nick, Andrew and the team at Richmond Tea Rooms for hosting it and donating a brilliant raffle prize, and all the other city centre businesses who donated great prizes for the raffle – Dough pizza restaurant, the Halle Orchestra, Co-op Food, Albert’s Shed restaurant, North Star Deli and Funkademia at Mint Lounge.
If you would like to make a donation to Wood Street Mission or donate a new toy for a local child, please give them a ring on 0161 834 3140 for more information.
It was such a success we’ve decided to do it again next year. We hope to see you there!
