Local resident Kevin Peel has been selected as the new Spokesperson for Labour in the City Centre. Kevin has lived in the city centre for the last 3 years – in Castlefield, in the village and now in the Northern Quarter.
Kevin said: “I’m delighted to be the new spokesperson for Labour in the City Centre. I am passionate about getting things done for the people who live here. I’ve lived here myself for the last 3 years, I’ve worked here, I socialise here and I play an active role in the local community. I know local people, I understand local concerns and I’ve got the right ideas to address them.
“I’m not afraid to stand up to the Town Hall if city centre residents are getting a bad deal, but I will work constructively with town hall chiefs to deliver results for local people. I’ll work relentlessly to ensure that the voices of city centre residents are heard at every level of the council.”
